Exterior Inspection
Visibly Damaged Shingles -
If any of your shingles are missing, cracked, or curling, impending roof repair is probable. In some cases, a few shingles can be replaced but if the problem is widespread, replacement may be necessary.
Sagging Roof Deck -
While your roof may vary in pitch, it should appear to be fairly straight. If some areas appear saggy or warped, from the ground or on the roof, this is often a sign of a bigger problem and needs to be addressed as soon as possible.
Clogged Gutters -
Have you noticed granules, sludge, or pieces of shingle in your gutters while you're cleaning them? This is a common sign that your roof is starting to deteriorate.
Wet Spots & Algae Growth -
Dark wet spots and algae growth can indicate moisture below the outer layer of your roof. Water penetration could make its way into your home, causing even more damage.
